The Tarlac State University College of Teacher Education (CTEd) and the Department of Education Tarlac City Schools Division (DepEd-TCSD) inked partnership for Experiential Learning Courses (ELCs) under the Teacher Education Curriculum today, February 3.

ELCs, composed of teaching internship and field study of fourth year CTEd students, is prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education.

Through the leadership of CTEd dean and concurrent International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) director Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza and the newly designated TCSD Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Carmen P. Cuenco, said partnership will pave the way for the conduct of the teaching internship or the On-the-Job Training (OJT) of CTEd's fourth year college students.

Despite challenges on the shifting of provision of the Teacher Education Curriculum brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the college continues to look for ways to provide quality education and teacher training to all CTEd students.

"Magtutulong-tulong tayo, tayo-tayo rin ang magkakasama rito," Dr. Cuenco said during the MOA signing ceremony.

The event is attended by the CTEd program chairpersons, the IALO Special Programs and Services Unit Head Dr. Ninez B. Tulo, and the DepEd-TCSD Chief Education Program Supervisor Dr. Leonida Garcia who served as witnesses to the said partnership signing.

Starting February 22, 2022, teaching interns of the college will be deployed to schools, both private and public.
