Tarlac State University's College of Computer Studies (CCS) reinforced its alliance with the Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO) through a memorandum of agreement signing on Monday (April 29) at the TPPO Camp General Francisco S. Macabulos in Tarlac City.
The agreement strengthens the existing partnership between the two institutions in delivering extension services offered by the CCS to upskill the capabilities of PNP-TPPO personnel in computer literacy and technological adoption.
"We at TSU are always willing to extend our services to our partners katulad po ng TPPO, and we are very fortunate that we are able to share our services with you," TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco said.
"Since this is just a renewal of partnership, we are committing that we will be endeavoring more. This will not only end here, but it will be the beginning of a more collaborative partnership between our institutions," he added.
In his message, TPPO Provincial Director PCOL Miguel M. Guzman shared a quote by Henry Ford urging both parties to stay connected, focused, and committed to their shared goals.
"'Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is (a) success.' Let us carry forward the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and determination," PCOL Guzman said.
Presently, TPPO benefits from the PNP Profiling System and e-Library developed by the college last December 2023 to enhance the office's processes in gathering personal employee data and archiving digitized documents.
On the other hand, seven students from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts also presented their project proposal to TPPO to put up a monument at Camp Macabulos commemorating the SAF44 fallen soldiers.
Some CAFA faculty members and the United Architects of the Philippines-Tarlac Chapter members joined the students.
Other uniformed officials present during the signing ceremony are PTCOL Philip F. Antang, Deputy Provincial Director for Operation; PTCOL Romel M. Santos, Deputy Provincial Director for Admin; and their staff.
TSU officials who attended the event are Vice President for Research Development and Extension Dr. Murphy P. Mohammed and CCS Dean Dr. Alvincent E. Danganan. (jlmm-OPA)
